WelcomeThe community of Oakshore Park is one of the original subdivisions in Hugo, Minnesota, with the first homes built in the late 1960's. It has a homeowners' association, comprised of 50 homes on one acre lots. Since the area was not developed by a single builder, the variety of home styles in the neighborhood provide a unique atmosphere. The name Oakshore Park is descriptive of the abundance of mature oak trees and our location on the northeast side of Bald Eagle Lake. One of the special features and assets is the Oakshore Park Marina, located on Bald Eagle Lake. This marina and docks are owned by the homeowners' association. This amenity allows any homeowner to have private access and the option to keep their boat in the water, ready for use on a beautiful recreational and fishing lake. A second amenity is a new ten acre city park, which will include walking trails, a basketball court, a soccer and softball field, and playground equipment. For many years this had been a private park, owned by the Oakshore Park Homeowners' Association. The park included a five acre area for horse stables as well as traditional park uses. As our neighborhood has aged, the use of the park has declined. Therefore, in 2007, the homeowners passed ownership of the private park to the City of Hugo with the caveat that it will always remain as a city park. Oakshore Park is located very conveniently between the Cities of Hugo and White Bear Lake. Both communities offer a variety of shopping, restaurants and services. Access to Interstate 35E is very close, allowing quick access to all parts of the Twin Cities. This website was launched August 12, 2007 |
